Ripening rice season – Code: M19-008

Day 1:

Our guide will pick you up at The Noi bai International Airport. You will stay in a 3-star hotel in The Old Quarter.

If you arrive in Saturday, in the afternoon, you can walk round Hoan Kiem Lake (walking streets), visit Ngoc Son temple, see Vietnamese traditional games, traditional handicraft shops: Toy figurines, … Then you can watch a water puppet show, a unique Vietnamese Art, in Thang Long Puppet Theatre or Lotus Puppet Theatre near Hoan Kiem Lake.

Go along Night Market in the evening, and you have chance to see some live music shows: modern and traditional music shows in most walking streets.

Day 2: Ha Noi – Ha Giang

You will have breakfast early and leave Ha Noi for Ha Giang at 6.30. We will stop in Ha Giang city for lunch.

In the afternoon, we visit some villages round Ha Giang to explore their life.

Day 3: Ha Giang – Bac Quang – Hoang Su Phi – Xi Man

After breakfast, you move to Hoang Su Phi where there are the most beautiful rice terraces in Vietnam. If you go on Sunday, you can stop to visit Vinh Quang Market in Hoang Su Phi.

Have lunch in Hoang Su Phi. Then continue to Xi Man.

Along the roads, you can find the rice terraces like golden steps from the land to the sky. It is the wonderful experience you can be unforgettable in your life.

Check in a hotel/homestay in Xi Man.

In June, It is a water falling-season in Hoang Su Phi. The rice terraces on these ways become beautiful with a lot of water. This makes the rice terraces look like thousands of mirrors.

In September and October, people call these months “Mature rice season”. The rice terraces are very well-known for yellow color.

In October and November, you can see a lot of fields of Tam Giac Mach flowers on the mountains.

Day 4: Xi Man – Bac Ha Market – Lao Cai – Ha Noi

If today is Sunday, you can go to Bac Ha to visit Bac Ha Market, one of the best ethnic markets in Lao Cai. The ethnic minorities from the surrounding villages and hills come the market by foot, by motor scooter, by horse, and by water buffalo for their chance to socialize, eat, drink, smoke, get a haircut, and buy produce and meat for the next week. It is a blur of colorful plaids and stripes.

You can have lunch in Bac Ha Market or move to Lao Cai for lunch.

In the afternoon, continue moving to Ha Noi.

Day 5: Traditional handicraft villages:

30 – 10.00: Take tour to traditional villages: Thach Xa Village is famous for its unique traditional craft product – the bamboo dragonfly. Dragonflies, colorful butterflies made of bamboo and beautifully painted, especially dragonflies, butterflies standing balanced by the tip of the beak.

00 – 11.30: Visit Chang Son, Hanoi’s wooden fan-making village. Chang Son is a famous traditional craft village for its sophisticated and creative wooden hand fans in Hanoi. Coming to Chang Son, you can visit production processes of traditional hand fans, and see countryside landscape that villagers try to keep before the nonstop changes of the country.

30-14.00: Have lunch.

00 – 16.30: Take tour to Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo village. the products of rattan in the village are mainly baskets, dried, gradually, sieves, bags, boxes … the daily life. In addition, according to the needs of life, the village also made bamboo rattan products such as decorative items, lamp shades, curtains, portraits, landscapes, horizontal lac …

30 – 17.30: Back to Hanoi centre.

00-19.30: Have dinner with Cha ca in Thang Long restaurant in Duong Thanh street.
